Drake Stops Concert After Fan Horrifically Falls From Venue’s Balcony
Over the weekend, Drake had to put an emergency pause on his show in New York after a supporter’s life was (possibly) in danger.
Reportedly, on Sunday (Jan. 22), Drake was amid his highly-awaited set at the Apollo Theater in Harlem when one of the concertgoers took a sudden tumble from the second-floor balcony. The chilling occurrence followed 21 Savage’s (who’d joined Drake for a joint performance of their collaboration, “Rick Flex”) arrival on stage.

Upon the “Her Loss” rappers leading into the chart-topping hit, Drizzy (seemingly) noticed a mysterious object dropping from the upper deck. However, of course, he wasn’t prepared to see the item accompanied by a human body!
According to fellow attendees of the event, the individual is said to have plummeted head-first into the crowd, but many of the audience members mistook the unnamed person’s potentially-tragic incident for camera equipment accidentally descending from a higher level.

Subsequent to the terrifying fall, in a recently-surfaced clip, Drake is seen halting in confusion and concern before calmly uttering into the mic,
“Alright, just gotta make sure somebody’s okay.”

Drake took around twenty minutes to regroup and check on the troubled fan, who received immediate attention from the Apollo’s staff. Thankfully, there were no severe injuries, and Champagne Papi was able to continue his performance.
Allegedly, an announcer at the concert said,
“Everybody is absolutely okay. [The individual] is being checked out. Nobody’s hurt. But I got even better news for you: we’re at the Apollo, so the show must go on.”
Along with 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert and Dipset were also in the building for the joyous occasion.
