Police: SWAT responding to call in south Austin


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police said they sent SWAT officers Friday afternoon to a neighborhood in south Austin.

Police said the response is happening in the 2200 block of Perry Avenue, which is close to West Oltorf Street and South Fifth Street. No other details are known at this time about what officers are investigating.

Police shared that a department spokesperson is on the way to the scene, so more information should be shared at some point Friday afternoon with reporters.
